The 47.5 km long route Čiernohronská begins in the capital of Horehronie, in Brezno, with a mild to moderate climb to Vrchdolinka, where under favorable weather conditions the whole panorama of the Low Tatras is visible. The route continues with a slight descent from Vrchdolinka towards the village of Čierny Balog. This distinctive village is famous not only for the Čiernohronská railway, but for the cult films as well, which more or less took place on the railway. Through the Páleničné valley, the route leads around abandoned homesteads belonging to the list of national treasures in the part Kysuca, continues through Sedmák alongside the family farm Marekov dvor, from where there is a majestic view of the Klenovský Vepor, Poľana, the Low and High Tatras.
